Terms of Use

Last updated 13 August 2026 · Applies to the Run Carmelian virtual fun run.

These terms cover your use of the Run Carmelian website and your participation in the Mater Carmeli School Nova QC 1st Virtual Fun Run. By creating an account or registering, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the site.

Who can join

The event is open to alumni, current students, families, faculty and staff of Mater Carmeli School Nova QC. Participants under 18 should register with a parent's or guardian's consent.

Your account

Give accurate details. Your name is printed on your digital race bib and finisher certificate, and your delivery address determines where your kit is shipped.
One account per person. Keep your password to yourself — you're responsible for what happens under your account.
Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

Registration and payment

Your slot is confirmed only after an organizer verifies your payment. Uploading proof is not by itself confirmation.
Categories have limited slots and close once full.
Payment is made outside this site through the channels shown on the payment page. Always check the recipient details before sending money — we will never message you asking for a different account.
Your race bib number is issued when your payment is confirmed.
Questions about changing category, transferring a slot or requesting a refund are handled by the organizers case by case. Contact us before the challenge ends.

Completing the challenge

The challenge runs from 2026-08-30 to 2026-10-08. It is an accumulated-distance challenge: run as many times as you need to reach your category's total. Runs are submitted as GPX files or as screenshots from a running app, and are checked automatically. To keep it fair:

A run dated outside the challenge window is not counted.
The same file, or another run with the same date and distance, is rejected as a duplicate.
A single run over 100 km is held for an organizer to review.
Submitting a run you did not do — someone else's activity, an edited file, or a fabricated screenshot — is grounds for disqualification without refund.

Organizers may review any submission and have the final say on whether it counts.

Entitlements

What comes with your registration is listed on each category card. Digital items are issued through this site. Physical items are shipped to the Philippine address on your registration after the challenge closes — make sure it is correct and complete, as we can't be responsible for items sent to a wrong address you gave us. Delivery timelines depend on couriers and may vary.

Run at your own risk

This is a virtual run: you choose where and when to run, unsupervised. Please make sure you are medically fit, and consult a doctor if you are unsure. Follow traffic rules and local regulations, and stop if you feel unwell. To the fullest extent the law allows, the school, the organizers and the volunteers are not liable for injury, illness, loss or damage arising from your participation.

Using the site properly

Don't attempt to break into, overload, scrape or interfere with the site or other people's accounts, and don't upload anything unlawful, malicious or that isn't yours to upload. We may suspend an account that does.

Your content

The files you upload stay yours. By uploading them you let us store and process them for the purpose of verifying your runs and administering the event. Event names, logos and the school seal remain the property of Mater Carmeli School Nova QC.

Availability

We aim to keep the site available throughout the challenge, but it is provided as-is and may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control. If a technical fault prevents you from submitting a run in time, contact us and we will sort it out fairly.

Changes and closing your account

We may update these terms; the date at the top will change and material updates will be emailed to participants. You can ask us to close your account at any time — see deleting your data.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
